31 Years old. Has always been a good defender. Perfect Defensive cover IMO.

I think with Jolean gone - we need some experienced cover at the back and Distin will provide this.

Moyes wouldnt pay £5m for a player approaching 32 surely. I was thinking £2m is fair.

Villa were sniffing around him a few weeks ago and the asking price then was £5million. We can't afford to haggle, we need him more than the £5million, the clock is ticking.

I think Pompey are so hard up - they'll just want him off the wage bill. £1M with another £1m based on 500 appearances should seal a deal!

Hopefully they'll get him, I think if he costs anything over £2 million we're better off putting the money towards a younger centre half who can play with us for longer. £5m is certainly no price for a 33year old with a year left on his contract.
