I can't recall the team we played at GP when Vic got a standing O.
I hope the WBA crowd show him some love, and he blossoms elsewhere.

Pissed off with this, think we've only sold him because we've bought Kone, who is an older, slower, crapper version of vic, with no resale value.  Out the two, I'd rather have vic

The problem though with Vic is that he just wasn't up to it, in my opinion. He's a trier, kind of, but just not skilled enough and simply too slow. And by that I mean the he can't take the ball in stride, he can only take it with the back towards the goal, slowing things down.

Kone at least can take the ball in the stride. I'm still not decided on what I think of Kone.

I always find it a bit sad when a player who has grown up at the club leaves but £5m-6m is a good deal for a striker who doesn't score goals.

A lot of us were ready to drive him to Hull for £1 million a couple of seasons ago so to get £6 million for him is crazy. I was surprised that we rejected the bid of £3 million for him to be honest (as that is pretty much what I reckon he is worth) so to get £6 million for him is excellent.

Cheers Vic. You never sulked alone. cheers

I can only assume that BK spoke with Levy?
Maybe DM pissed BK off so much that his Luvvieness turned to his dark side.
and could the "work permit" trip was a ruse?

Kone scored 5 less goals last season than Anichebe has in his whole career.

Sad that Big Vic has gone but ? In reality he was Emel Heskey in disguise, a trier and a local lad but ? In all honesty not good enough for EFC, Kone seems to be an older version, lets just hope he settles down .with funds still available and a striker down we will look to Jan transfer window to replace Big Vic.

Great words Big Vic. cheers
