Possible loan move

Post  BB on Tue 17 Aug - 22:58

http://www.sos1878.co.uk/everton-transfers/yobo-loan-switch-premier-league-club/

Are we in a position to loan central defenders out?

I'd say no chance. If he goes, it would be a cash sale for me. We're already short of central defenders and could do with one more, so can't ever see this happening.

What say ye?

Arguably now fifth choice centre back behind the likes of Phil Jagielka, Sylvain Distin, John Heitinga and even Tony Hibbert

cheers

I still rate him better than Distin when his mind is on it and he is playing to his best he is probably our second best CB

I think he's every bit as good as Jags as a defender, and better going forward, and Jags for me is not as good as many repute him to be. He is full of mistakes, yet he gets away with it, where as Yobo was dropped. All about how you get on with Moyes, and that's one of the things about Moyes I don't like.

I think a loan deal would be alright for us, if we can recall him should we get too many injuries. I still think he's a decent defender, and while he might not be first choice, he's worth having as back up. If he can get matches up in the SPL, and off our wage bill, that's fine with me.

I'd rather have the money to be honest.

I wonder how much we'd get for Distin?

Not much considering his age. I think we paid a tad too much for him, but he's an established Prem player so he would have no problem with the pace of the game, and I feel that was one reason we paid what we did.
