I think people also forget he probably 'works' no more than a massive 25 hour week, has the best nutrition, injury treatment, recovery period, exercise regime and advice, which most people can only dream about.

Maybe he is just past his sell by date, in PL terms? Get your finger out Cahill or fuck off! Very Happy

Cahill

Post  mindyerEnvelopeMister? on Fri 09 Apr 2010, 2:26 am

http://newsarse.com/2010/03/29/evertons-tim-cahill-accosted-by-vengeful-corner-flags/

Everton’s Tim Cahill was last night accosted by a group of
angry corner flags hell-bent on revenge after years of unprovoked
attacks by the Australian midfielder.

Cahill is said to be in a stable condition and is recovering at home
after the attack which took place in the Stanley park region of
Liverpool.
One eye witness told the police, “He put up a good fight, but there
were just too many of them - it was really quite vicious.”
“We’re pretty sure we heard one of the flags screaming, ‘bob and
weave this you smug Aussie twat’ as it jabbed itself into his groin
area.”
“They waited till he went down, then shouted some more obscenities
before making their way back to the kit shed.”
Revenge
Criminology experts have agreed that thanks to Cahill’s systematic
abuse, it was only a matter of time before an incident such as this took
place.
Dr David Shlatter explained, “You simply can’t expect to pick on
someone for this long and not expect some form of payback. To be
honest, the only surprise is that it’s taken this long for them to
launch an attack of their own.”
“There would have come a time when every Everton goal would have been
met with a resigned groan as the flags began to expect their usual
beatings.”
“The fact that Cahill got away with it for so long is further
evidence of a society which tolerates criminal behaviour, as long as
you’re quite good at kicking a football.”
“However, it seems obvious to me that no matter what violent
behaviour society is happy to accept, corner flags simply don’t forget.”

made me chuckle, though what doesn't?

I can't help thinking that if Duncan had had a run-in with the corner flag community the outcome would have been different.

when asked about european football next season he said something like, "we're all giving it 100% cos we want to play in europe, but if we don't qualify we're going to have a massive season"

so are we going to win the league next season or what? Very Happy

You got the feeling that Moyes and Cahill were quite happy with themselves living off the back of a good run unbeaten rather showing that real desire to get up into the top seven.

Bad feeling the last few games are going to peter out now. We really could be up there but for all them draws

the only good thing about europe is the away trips

it's a second rate tournament that earns you fuck all. i'd sooner not qualify for it and be up there in the league next season and another wembley trip

He is like a superhero. Bluejags, i demand a custom avatar, aussie superhero.. a niche market i know.

he has a 6th sense to appear and score when it's needed, he has been doing it for years, and still does it.

Because when he does leave - and he will one day... he will be under contract and we can get something approaching that which we paid for him...

i dunno whether we will though if he's saying that he wants to go and play in oz after us.

at least with cahill you know he's going to give 100% for the 4 years (im looking at you saha).

i just dont think he's had a great season this time round (its allowed) and is he going to get any better over the next 4 years?

i like the fella, and think he's a valuable player for us, im just wondering about the length of the deal

agreed

well. think of the quality of his goals, and the amount he contributes to the team, he is class. he cost buttons and deserves it from the club, as well as his massive oz following, he needs to tutor the likes of baxter and rodwell as well, no brainer as far as i'm concerned, and should be captain of the club ahead of neville.
