Seen some rumours tonight that Timmy may be off to QPR ... not too sure how I feel about that tbh

If we can get £7 million for him then I would sell. It is perhaps what he needs and what Everton need.

He bleeds Everton blue though... seems just a little bit wrong even it is good business... no way we'd get 7M anyway at his ageDixie Land wrote:Made 4 Gwladys wrote:Seen some rumours tonight that Timmy may be off to QPR ... not too sure how I feel about that tbh![]()

Sums up my feelings exactly. He's the best buy moyes has made in terms of length of contribution, value, effort, commitment and goals although I'll always say Nigel Martyn kept us a top flight side. He's everything that's good about Everton under moyes; Hard working, honest and a top bloke. Just feel a bit sad seeing him drift along not playing at his top level. I'll always hold out hope he'll have a golden spell and rediscover the form that made him so effective, but I'm starting to face up to the fact that he's simply not as good as he was and I think he's only gong to get worse.

In The Times today, Hughes wants Cahill and Peinaar. With them also looking at Yak, it could be a mini re-union.

It's hard to see Cahill pull on the shirt of another English club. I think he is more likely to head back to Oz to play out his career.

Not sure what QPR would see in him. I really like the guy, but he has become more and more ineffective for us.Armchair Evertonian wrote:It's hard to see Cahill pull on the shirt of another English club. I think he is more likely to head back to Oz to play out his career.

Without his goals he offers nothing, sad to admit but it's true.
Victim of his own success of never having a defined position.

Looks like he appealed his sending off but has failed. He is apparently away with Oz at the start of the season anyway. I thought this was interesting though:

"My reaction at the end of the game was out of character but I was disgusted at comments made to me by Cabaye.
"I don't wish to elaborate on the exact detail of what was said - but his words have no place either on or off the football pitch.
"Cabaye has apologised via his club's website and as far as I am concerned the matter is now closed."

Now Suarez & Dogshite...
..that is the way to make a statement ! ... admitting he had cause but was still wrong to react... accepting whatever the punishment will be & move on
..simple really.. not a tee shirt in sight
btw.. Cahill also said "I accept my three-match ban."

Dead right. No "victim mentality", no moaning about how it's always us, no marches, no badges, no t-shirts, no placards.
It's the Everton way. I could never be a RS. If I had been unlucky enough to be a RS as a kid, I would have stopped through sheer embarrassment by now.
Suarez is a twat. They should sell him now.

To be fair, for Cabaye to come out an apologise straight away shows he must have been well in the wrong. That's how the Evra Suarez thing could have gone, but if I'm honest, if it was racist (and it looked at first like he aimed a comment at Pienaar to me) then I'd rather this shit didn't get swept under the carpet.

Hadn't thought about that. I just assumed it was between Cahill and Cabaye. If you're right, then it really should be out in the open. It was good, and unusual, that Cabaye apologised. If it was racist, then hopefully the fact he immediately acknowledged he was out of order would have been reflected in any punishment. And yes, that's exactly how the Suarez thing should have gone. But it shouldn't be hushed up if it was racist.

Having read a bit more about it, Cahill seems to say it's comments made to him so I may have misread it. If it was racist, then I'm pretty sure cahill would have come out and made a complaint. But whatever, Cabaye must have been pretty keen not to have anyone know what he said to come out and be so contrite. Anyways, it is fairly refreshing to hear people apologise. But then we're not dealing with the RS and Suarez, here.

I read that as Cahill reacting to comments about somebody else. They all seem to treat Pienaar as the little brother (no pun intended , for a change).
