Even an out of form Cahill gets you a goal. Truthfully, if we had real options I think Moysey would bench him. He benched Fellaini who was worse and sporadic in his performances this season. We have started slowly, Cahill a big culprit, and rather than have options to bench we are screwed. We spent what we recovered and started with a squad on paper, eventually. It doesn't always pan the way you think.

From my point of view

Howard Fine
Baines, woefully poor but getting better.
Distin Good - Silly mistake v wolves
Yobo - Injury stricken
Hibbo, crap, 1 good game
Bily, started well in the euro games, shows promise, but it's all looking a bit loose
Rodwell, started well now absent
Osman, nice goal but absent and lightweight as usual
Cahill, woefully poor for him
Fellaini, nothing like last season, only played in total 45 mins of decent football
Neville, played poorly until injured.
Saha - Good
Jo, See Fellaini but maybe 90 mins total.
Pienaar- star man but we have missed his creativity
Heitinger, not sure about him at all, you can tell he can play but not really shown it yet.
Yak is looking good, but little service and he's bound to miss a few when he eventually gets service.
Gosling, raped by Benfica, progressing ok I think.

We have only faced two decent sides and they twatted us, taking it out on Cahill isn't fair. The team is shot. Until we get key players back and competition for places we are no where. It explains why Moysey goes 451 at home.. It's all we have got to get a result, any form of result. It will turn just pretty painful to go through it again this season.

Anyone want cheap Villa tickets *

Are you really sure it was Distin's fault for that goal?! I haven't seen the replay but when I was at the game I thought Yobo fucked up and everyone I've spoken to since share that view. Doesn't matter either way like, just funny really.

As for Cahill even that 'getting us a goal' has dried up missing two sitters aginst Stoke and one against Wolves.

Just watched Panlo's link. Yobo, Distin and even Howard for that stupid jump, should all take a share of the blame for that goal, bloody awful!

Absolutely, he's a forward disguised as a midfielder - that's his strength and why he adopted so well to his supposed second position last season.

He gets about 10 goals a year for us... but some important ones, no point scoring when your losing 5 or 6 nil?

Spot on he cant play in that role he needs to play off the front man.

Pretty much mate. Very Happy

It just sounded funny. Obviously you just hit the next button by mistake but "Panlo" sounded funny. Perhaps because it took me a while to understand what you were on about (which probably says more about me than it does about you).

I'd be more worried about that cock Zat Knight stamping on his knee.

But yeah, they're all gonna be fecked sooner or later. Still, cry me a river, for 30k+ per week they should be doing nothing other than getting fit and focusing on the football.

Ive long thought the constant trips to Australia would become an issue for Cahill. At 29, I think the frequent trips back and forth are beginning to take their toll. He's been really bad this season and this is perhaps the main reason why.

It doesn't matter how much money someone has if they're asked to do something that the body can't handle. The guy played huge amounts when he first joined us, what with Olympics, World Cups and seemingly some other competition every summer. And any athlete will tell you that you need time to recover. And if he wasn't able to do that when he was younger then perhaps he's going to find the next few years very tough going.

Look at Michael Owen - played to the hilt when he was younger and paying for it now.

lol! lol! lol!

Or "Cahill the travelled too many miles and played too many games and is now fucking knackered but is great when he is fit but he is obvioulsy not a right winger and needs to be played in a 451 formation rather than a 442 formation and could do with a few games rest only if we could get a couple of players to replace him such as Osman and Arteta (who it feels like has been out forever) and also we need Jagielka back as we are leaking far too many goals and it needs to stop".

Cahill's says he travelled 10 thousand miles to be here. No he didn't he traveled via millwall & he traveled about 250 miles to play for us. No wonder he is fucked.

No time to cash in the air miles, either, let alone his 30k p/w or whatever everyone knows he is on. Thought it was 40k p/w. Isn't everyone on at least 40k p/w?
