Also saved point blank from ben arfa at 1-1.

He may be prone to the occasional clanger (although i thought the first Ba goal was a deceptively good finish) but generally he's solid. Easily in the top 4-5 keepers in the league.

Not saying he could have done much if anything on the goals, but did he even move on ANY of the three goals? And you can include the shot off the inside of the post in that category as well. I find that worrying.

And corners in general? Don't even get me started.

I thought it was really shit on the first goal that he was more bothered in pushing the striker away, than he was in clearing or watching the ball.... if he'd watched the flight of the ball & been impeded trying to catch it he would have been given a free kick.... very poor judgement IMO

EVERTON FC goalkeeper Jan Mucha told police he did not know he was banned from driving because he does not read his own post.

The 30-year-old was yesterday ordered to do 250 hours unpaid work by magistrates after being caught driving through Wilmslow, Cheshire, while banned from the road.

He told police in interview he had no idea he was not allowed to drive because he simply passed all his own mail on to the club to read and sort.

Michelle Brown, defending, later said Mucha was aware he was disqualified until March 12 and had simply miscalculated when the ban ended.

But she admitted the Slovakian international lived in a “very insular world” and said he would take more care in the future to manage his own affairs.

Debbie Byrne, prosecuting, told magistrates Mucha was pulled over driving his Audi Q7 down Altrincham Road on February 21.

A check of the police national computer showed he still had 19 days to run on a ban that he had received for accumulating too many penalty points.

Miss Byrne said: “In interview said he did not know he was disqualified.

“He said he was not even aware he had penalty points.

“He said he did not even read his own post because he gave it to the club to deal with.”

I often hear fans refer to games by the players/officials name, like the Man Utd Neville/Ronaldo game, the Clattenberg, the Clive Thomas, and I think this particular 2-0 win will be the Jan Mucha game.
Playing on adrenaline for the second half. Can he reproduce it though, and does Tim get his play back immediately?

I thought we defended well as a unit, and limited their chances to long range shots, but even when they did break through they just blasted their shots instead placing them, Mucha played the percentages by closing down and spreading himself large, but if they had any craft about them they would have scored easily....

Poor defending and normal service to resume next game Sad

To quote Brian Clough, he's a bit of a clown. Some great shot-stopping yesterday, but his punching was bizarre to say the least. Wouldn't want to see him between the sticks too often, but made up for him. I agree, it was the Jan Mucha game in a way.

I thought he was dodgy with his silly punches, but that's continental GK'ing ... shot stopping was excellent ... bear in mind this guy has had no proper chance in all his time at GP ... a few 3rd round games against fucking Gillingham are hardly going to enfuse him.

I don't think Tim is nailed on to get his place back... he has a very serious injury with a broken back & his confidence will take some time to back to normal ... if it EVER is ... Cech went to shit (kinof) when he fucked his face up ....

I think we may be a position where we HAVE to play Mucha... or get a replacement in...

I hope I'm wrong, but we may not see the same Tim Howard when (if) his back repairs 100%

I think Mignolet at Sunderland is having a fantastic season. Probably worth 10 points to them. What price another Belgian at GP this summer?

Mucha, whilst inspired on Saturday, wouldnt convince me he could do that on a consistent basis, especially not against the team that just seems to get playing to our maximum.

The agent of Everton keeper Jan Mucha says that his client will not sign a new deal at Everton before the summer, if at all.
Josef Tokos says that he has spoken to David Moyes about Mucha’s future at the Blues, but wouldn’t be drawn on the the content other than repeating what Moyes has said himself; that Mucha won’t be given an extension until the summer.
“There are a number of options at the moment,” said Tokos.
“He may reach an agreement with a new club during the season, which is legitimate according to FIFA. At the moment I cannot say more than that there are clubs interested in him. Naturally, he can make an agreement after the season as well.
“As for Everton, there is no chance an agreement will be made during the season. It is publicly known that the current manager David Moyes, announced that he would not yet sign an extension and that the club would be negotiating it only after the season.
“I had a very useful meeting with Mr Moyes last week but at the moment I cannot reveal anything about what we discussed.”
