Tim Cahill is expected to be fit to face Blackburn at Ewood Park after sitting out Australia's defeat by Slovenia in midweek because of a slight knee problem. But Victor Anichebe is ruled out through injury.

Re: Injury News
Everton boss David Moyes has received a double setback with the latest injury news on Louis Saha and Victor Anichebe.
Striker Saha, 32, has not played for the Toffees since a defeat by Aston Villa on 29 August.
"He [Saha] goes to a facility in France to get treatment and looked after and I think it will be two to three weeks before he is available," said Moyes.
Saha's fellow forward Anichebe, 22, has had a knee operation and will, added Moyes be out for "six weeks or so".
The absence of the strike duo will further frustrate the Scot following his side's poor start to the season.
Everton are second-bottom of the Premier League after gaining just two points from five games, while the Merseysiders were also knocked out of the Carling Cup after losing on penalties at Brentford.
Moyes bemoaned his side's lack of cutting edge in attack following the defeat by Brentford, and French striker Saha's continued absence will be a major disappointment.

Losing in the Carling Cup might be a good thing - we can focus on the league...Super wrote:Everton boss David Moyes has received a double setback with the latest injury news on Louis Saha and Victor Anichebe.

Advice to any young lad with a promising career .......... STAY AWAY FROM EVERTON
We are truly cursed. This is terrible news for the lad, and indeed the club. This could realistically be the end of his career. He was so close to breaking into the first team. Now all hope of that is gone, and even if he recovers, he must hit the heights once again to be considered which will not be easy after such a lay off.

He'll be ok, as they say 1st tackle! Although same happened to me and I haven't played 11 a side in 9 years??
Although seriously, if you look at Larsson who did it 3 times, he was OK and Barkley is only a kid so his fear factor will be less.

Everton will also be without Steven Pienaar for Saturday's game at Tottenham, while Louis Saha and Victor Anichebe are the Blues' other longer term absentees in another season blighted by injuries.

Pienaar as well? Wow, well, I'd lilke to see them both in the squad but only if fit. And Heitinga's calf strain is OK then?Goodison_Gringo wrote:Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:What about Arteta? Is he also out?Super wrote:SouthernSmugToffee wrote:Tonteau wrote:Super wrote:Ossie out for 6 weeks......
