I like this lad..

James Vaughan but knowing were the net is. From what I have seen more physical. If he gets injured again we have the same player on our hands. He might be it....

He doesn't run around as much as vaughany. Well not in the games I've seen. But I suppose it's 40+ degrees C out there so he's probably saving his running. Just remembered he played a lovely dinked ball through to the other striker who was incorrectly flagged offside. It was great awareness. England are playing Argentina (they're not that good) today or tomorrow. Should hopefully see more of him there.

Scored again for the u17's yesterday, but they were knocked out losing 3-2 against Germany at the quarter-final stage.

England had been 3-0 down, but left the comeback to late.

England let down by their defence, really. The goalkeeper (Jordan Pickford) is an absolutle clown when it comes to decision making (They should definitely have picked Mason Springthorpe Very Happy ) and the centre halves got done pretty easily too.

As for Hallam Hope. The lad looks like he needs to go on a fitness regime. He didn't look very sharp at all and (I know it's a bit of an English mentality thing) but he could have done with running around a lot more than he did. Spent far too long wandering about looking a bit fed up, although he was pretty isolated as a striker. His goal was a tap in, but he was alert to get it. Otherwise, not that impressed, although the germans are a great team. They had a few players who looked like they could play in the premier league now. With us, there was none.

I just hope people let him develop and not put any pressure on him like they have with Barkley.

He will play in the first team if/when the time is right, no point rushing him, it took Osman till he was 23 to break into the first team.

If he's good enough, he's old enough. Stick him in central midfield for the Bolton game cheers

Rodwell and Fellaini have had the same pressure at Everton as well in the past. The fans seem to forget how young these players are and that it is difficult playing against men 10 years older than you when you are a teenager.

Good point, but we're all dying for a superstar and I think that's why Moyes has taken Barkley out the spotlight a little. If he was at Citeh or United no one would put any pressure on him. Also no one would know who he was and he'd probably never get a chance at the first team.

He never made it

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2161901/Eric-Dier-quits-Everton-returns-Sporting-Lisbon.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

England youth international Eric Dier has decided to cut short his stay at Everton and return to Sporting Lisbon.
The Cheltenham-born defender, who moved to Portugal at the age of six, joined the Toffees on loan in January 2011.

But the 18-year-old has returned to Lisbon after failing to make a first-team appearance.

Everton boss David Moyes told O Jogo newspaper: 'We wanted him to stay with us... we knew he wanted to be in the first team, even though there would be little chance.

'Maybe [coach Ricardo] Sa Pinto and Sporting have other plans for him.'

Dier has represented England at Under-19 level.

I hope we haven't made a booboo on this lad, and end up trying to buy him back like Jags.
It must have cost us some dosh to just have him turn up for training?

We've not let him go, though. Moyes said he wanted him to stay with us. He was always on loan from Sporting Lisbon and that's where he's gome back. The whole situation was a bit odd, really. Who brings a reserve in on loan? Must be some reason behind it.

I think there were a couple reasons why we loaned him.

I would have thought that Dier himself would have wanted a spell in England where he could be scouted by the U19s, U21s England managers. He probably would not have got a look in if he had been playing for the Sporting reserves.

I reckon Moyes thought there was a chance of him breaking into the first team squad at some time and also seeing him as back up should we have an injury crisis.

Everton midfielder John Lundstram joins Doncaster on loan

Doncaster have signed Everton midfielder John Lundstram on a one-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old, who is yet to make his senior debut for the Toffees, is the captain of the England Under-19 side.
Lundstram could make his debut for Rovers in Saturday's League One match against Yeovil.
"I am very excited, I'm very privileged to be given the opportunity to try and impress the gaffer," he told the club website.
"It's a privilege to be given an opportunity to play for a team that is at the top - I just want to do my best and help the team to get as many points as possible."
Lundstram signed a full-time scholarship with Everton in July 2010 and is contracted to the Premier League club until 2015.

Good player, Lundstram. Maybe not as silky as Barkley, but he's got a lot of drive and can play. May see him first team in the next couple of years.

Everton defender Jake Bidwell has extended his loan at League One side Brentford by a further month.

The 19-year-old left-back has been with the Bees since September and was due to return to Goodison Park on Wednesday.

The renewed deal keeps him with Uwe Rosler's promotion-chasers until April 6.

Bidwell has made 38 appearances for the Bees this term in addition to the 25 games he clocked up during a stint at Griffin Park last term.
