The 19-year-old left-back has been with the Bees since September and was due to return to Goodison Park on Wednesday.

The renewed deal keeps him with Uwe Rosler's promotion-chasers until April 6.

Bidwell has made 38 appearances for the Bees this term in addition to the 25 games he clocked up during a stint at Griffin Park last term.

This is one of our more successful young players to be loaned out.
Bidwell is enjoying himself while gaining valuble experience with the Bee's whilst helping them in their promotion bid.

Beat the Chavs 1-0, Barkley sent-off, goal for Bunton. Sorry, I meant McAleny.

Transfer news: Brentford have signed defender Jake Bidwell from Everton on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old defender has had spent two separate loan periods at Griffin Park in the past previous two seasons, making 75 appearances in total.

Bidwell has represented England at every level from Under-16 to U19 and was in this year’s provisional Under-20 World Cup squad.

He also become the youngest player to feature in a European fixture for Everton when he made his first team debut in the Europa League clash against BATE Borisov in 2009.

He went on to captain the Toffees’ U18 side to the 2011 FA Premier Academy League title, beating west London side Fulham in the final - a campaign that saw his named the youth side’s player of the year.

Brentford’s Sporting Director, Mark Warburton, told the club’s website: “We are absolutely delighted to see a young player of Jake’s talent and ability commit his long term future to the club.

“Over the last two seasons, Jake has delivered a consistently high level of performance and his desire and determination to give everything to the cause has been clear for all to see.

“He has displayed a maturity beyond his years and his all-round professionalism both on and off the pitch is an outstanding example for all other young players.

“For Brentford Football Club it is vital that we secure the quality of player that will give us very real opportunity to achieve our long term goals.

“With Jake committing in this way, it is another very positive step forwards and we look forward to watching his continued progress in the seasons ahead.”

Hopefully this means Baines is staying because Neville and Bidwell (along with Oviedo) were cover there.

I never expected this/.. he was supposed to be top bollocks & a great future pending.... we may regret this...

Everton FC have confirmed teenage forward George Green has been released by the club.

The 19-year-old, who spent time on loan at Tranmere Rovers this season, was signed by the Blues from Bradford City in October 2011 for an initial fee of £300,000.

He had been highly-rated at Goodison Park and was hailed as a “little magician” earlier this year by then-Rovers boss Micky Adams, although Green couldn’t help the side avoid relegation into the Conference.

The Premier League have revealed the players who are on the retained and released lists of the 20 top-flight clubs, with Green joining defenders Antolin Alcaraz and Sylvain Distin on the way out of Goodison Park.

Midfielder John Lundstram, who played for Blackpool and Leyton Orient on loan in 2014-15, was also released, along with centre back Curtis Langton and Irish defender Ben McLaughlin.

George Green was sent to the priory to sort himself out, He apparently had personal issues and attitude.

I doubt the Club would have released him based on just his potential.

Me too. He was supposed to have an incredibly bright future. As has been mentioned, there have been stories of personal problems. If true, what a fucking shame. Just shows there are many ways to fail at something.

And I see Lundstram is going too - he had received a few mentions as being a decent player.

I have an idea. Why don't we send all our reserves out on loan to Wigan. Once they have played in the famous blue and white stripes, they will automatically become the kind of player Bobby wants in his team, and will return to enhanced contracts and a place in the side. Thus saving us a fortune in pointless scouting of players who have never played for Wigan and will therefore not be phenomenal enough for our fucking clown of a manager.

Genius or what?
