Agree Thor - Landon's been great for us and turns 30 this year. You wonder what could have been for him if he'd have played in a stronger league from the beginning.

Surely its now or never for him to leave the Galaxy. I cant understand any reason why he'd want to go back to that - its not like he owes them anything.

Yeah, it's almost like penance. He has to go back and serve out his time. He wants to play at the highest level, and it's clear he can. His international manager wants him to play at the highest level too. I think guilt is preventing him handing in a transfer request especially after giving Beckham such a hard time about his commitment to Galaxy at the beginning. But fuck it. He's just reached the prime of his career. And who gives a fuck about what underpants man would say. (or what his advisers tell him to say) Be selfish Landon! Go home, hand in a transfer request and be back for the QPR game.. Very Happy

From what I understand the MLS works a bit differently compared to the European leagues. I think he's has a contract with the LA Galaxy, but isn't that also somehow ties in to the league as a whole? Like when they sell a player I believe that ALL the clubs get a cut, or has that changed recently?

I think that is still the case Thor.

Everton will not ask to extend Landon Donovan's loan from LA Galaxy as they want to make sure that they can borrow the US international next season too.

That's what I was getting at earlier, he needs to make the move now. There is no time to play out his contract with the LA Galaxy, he needs to make the transfer asap.

No disrespect to MLS but is he not wasting his talent at Galaxy? Seems a real shame that we only get a teaser from him for a couple of weeks every odd year. You would wonder how well he would do here in a full season..

ahh mmfff... Rolling Eyes

So, his house is almost three times as large as ours, yet his lot is smaller than ours and we don't have a massive yard by any means. I wonder if that lot size is an error since the backyard looks rather big.
