Looks as if Ross will be loaned out to Wednesday. I think that would be a good move for him, Everton and Sheff Wed.

I think Barkley is good enough to keep at Everton, even if only for a few outings this season..

what REALLY worries me about that article is this No

Spoiler:
Moyes is planning to bring in Charlie Adam from neighbours Liverpool – as MirrorFootball revealed – to bolster his options in midfield.

Meh on Adam, though I think Moyes could resurrect him. Good planning though lending a couple of players to SW, as long as we get first pick of their juniors, but doesn't it weaken our under-21s? Suspect

I think that's a good move for all parties involved. Barkley needs the time on the pitch and we currently can't offer that.

by the sound of it, Moyes did a bit of a "Rodgers" with this one, agreeing to let Barkley go for a month because he thought we were getting Odididje-Ofoe on loan. We're now scrabbling around looking for midfield cover.

Sheffield Wednesday have agreed a loan extension with Everton for 18-year-old midfielder Ross Barkley, BBC Radio Sheffield reports.

Barkley has made seven appearances for the Owls since joining them on an initial one-month loan.
And the England Under-21 international scored his first senior goal in last month's 2-1 defeat by Bolton.

He is now set to stay at Hillsborough on a week-to-week basis, which is allowed under a youth loan arrangement.

Just been fishing around on the net to see what the Owls fans are saying about him, and found this:

http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/182168-ross-barkley/

sounds like they rate him. I reckon Moyes is right to keep him at Wednesday for the moment, even if we are short in midfield. He clearly thinks Barkley is not the finished article yet, so the more match time he gets to learn his trade the better. Moyes's pet hate seems to be a player giving the ball away and that was Barkley's downside. There's no way Davey will let him in our first team until he's convinved that the lad won't be making any silly mistakes.

this too:

seems they didn't rate him at first, and he's still giving the ball away, but other than that it all sounds very positive. Our playmaker next season?

Get him back for the derby!!!

Has everyone got the miseries today?
We lose just 1 of 8 games, have played just 3 of them at home, and we're in clear 4th.
OK not the greatest performance yesterday and the midfield has been killed off for the derby, but I'm still optimistic about the season, and the Shyte are there to be taken next week. It will be on a Sunday, and this time I'll say my prayers.

BTW, did the ref from yesterday send in his verdict about Peanut's second yellow?

We could use him, but I think a loan at a club that he doesn't support and where a loss or a big mistake won't cause him the same amount of grief is probably best. Osman's loan at a struggling Deby side was the making of him, albeit he was older.

Regular footy is just what young ross needs.

Not so much an appeal.
The ref can, if he sees later that he was wrong, put that in his report, and effectively rescind the second card himself.
After DM's remarks after the game, I can't see that happening.
