Sounds very positive indeed. He (Bilic) seems genuinly pleased with this move.

a bit too positive maybe.. Laughing

. If you are playing for a club like Everton, winning championships then it will improve your chances.

Anybody else think "Bilic on Jelavic" sounds like something from A Hundred Favourite Croatian Recipes?

I don't know much about Everton, but I know it is a good club, always in the middle of the table.

scratch middle of the table? This season maybe, but I wouldn't call top 6 middle of the table. BOOOOOOOOO!!!! He'll never make it.

No but I've decided in my head he's awesome. Very Happy

At worst he is the Croatian James Beattie when he had his best season at Southampton, cheers

Joking aside - I think he will do well. Looks like he has skills and a high work rate. Ought to suit Moyes. Very Happy

Re: 7: Nikica Jelavic - Ranging in on Goal

Post  Bryan on Fri 03 Feb 2012, 9:03 am

there is a YouTube video of which is about 14mins long i think...

in summary

he has scored two overheads
plenty of taps in
equally a number of headers

very, very different to what we have had, and a massive change to Saha, Velios, Cahill up front, he doesn't hold up play, he scores. He is a centre forward.

To which, i expect a lot of punting to done to.

in summary, get a neck brace.

Moyes did try and sign him from Rapid Vienna before he went to rangers, so at least that shows we've been scouting him for a while and know that he's at least half decent.

Post  Dixie Land on Fri 03 Feb 2012, 4:46 pm

He is good with both feet, can head the ball and most importantly he scores goals. What's not to like? Very Happy

I have heard that he can be quite lazy in some games however but he may well need a challenge like the Premier League and the foot of David Moyes up his arse to change this. At the end of the day, I don't care of he runs about 10 feet a game as long as he scores for us.

OK, one cheeky lob which I loved.
Now find other headers/shots, other than pens, in all the time he was with us.
One of the worst (I'm sorry) I've seen in the 9 shirt.
There was one derby match where he was an embarrassment. Truly awful. The ball just bounced of him. I could go on...............
