I think it is an initial £500,000 which could raise to £2 million depending on certain things, such as if he makes 100 appearances, if we win the FA Cup, if he is the first man on mars. Things like that, a bit like Rooney's deal to Man Utd when we got extra money when he won the league, won the Champions League and won the scotch egg eating championship.

I like the sound of a scotch eating championship. Is it on Sky?

Re: 4. Darron Gibson - Another Fergie bargain?
Everton midfielder Darron Gibson has withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squad to face the Czech Republic next week, the Barclays Premier League club have announced.
The former Manchester United player had been included in Giovanni Trapattoni's 26-man squad for the friendly at the Aviva Stadium on February 29.
However, the Blues have announced he has sustained a knee injury, the seriousness of which is unknown.
The 24-year-old had been set to accompany club team-mates Seamus Coleman and Shane Duffy to Dublin before sustaining the injury which is still being assessed.
Gibson's injury is a worry for Everton boss David Moyes although the club do not have a game until March 3 when they travel to QPR given their scheduled clash against Liverpool this weekend will be played at a later date due to the Reds' participation in the Carling Cup final against Cardiff.
Gibson has played seven games for Everton since joining the club from Manchester United and he is yet to taste defeat with the Toffees.

Think it was suppose to be for 4 weeks. He is not cup-tied, so could play in the semi-final & final when we get there.
