"The Everton midfielder Darron Gibson has damaged cruciate ligaments in his right knee and is expected to be out for six to nine months. The club confirmed on Wednesday that he is to undergo surgery on his injured knee."

"A subsequent scan showed that he has damaged his anterior cruciate ligament and the midfielder will require an operation. However, the scans did confirm that no additional damage was sustained to the structure of the right knee."
Barry increasingly looks like RM's best bit o business.
Agree. As much as I like Gibson, he can't stay fit to save his life. How long of a contract is he on, or rather, how much does he have left on it?

5 minutes run out in last game of season it is then.
Before injuring himself tripping over the touchline. It's a shame because he is a quality player.

I think he's a really good player - just the sort of quality we need in the squad if we have Euro games next season. It's just a shame he's a cripple.

Shall we start a sweepstake on when he pulls up injured tonight? 18th minute I reckon.

Just checked, he played 127 league games, including 2 loan spells, in 10 years. 44 games with us in 3 years. 2 goals.
Got to be a busted career.

He's a decent player when he's fit but he's never fit. The problem with having a player like Gibbo on the books is that we hesitate to buy a replacement who might actually play a few games.

Got to get rid, I'm afraid. Kone, Gibson, Hibbo, they're ghost players.

Add Alcaraz to that list, he's just f*cking scary .
Shame about Gibson,he's been the only defensive midfielder that can create when he has eventually played. .

I really rate Gibbo and think when he plays he fits his role perfectly but he has more injuries then A&E. Everton can't justify another season of him sitting on his arse.

I don't think it's a coincidence that our most successful run in the last two years was when Gibbo was fully fit and playing.

Agreed,Its a shame that he's so injury prone, I really like Darren Gibson, he's passionate and gives the midfield a bit of physical strength.
I bet if he wasn't so injury prone he would or could have gone on to a bigger club.
