Just the slightest of a touch. Why would he go down when he was straight through though? Howard with decent save from Ngog.

We need to do something with all the possession we've had. Can't see Bolton controlling anything. We're playing better with 442. Just need a lucky break.

Ok first half. Everton plugging away. Never going to set the world alight but good honest effort. Donovan pen decision was big call and seeing that the touch took him through on goal I would have given it. Strac put in a good shift, lovely touch to Donovan the highlight but he needs games. Vellios might be a better option, even for Saha who looks woefully out of form and confidence. Everyone else solid. Bolton only really look threatening from set pieces but now that we are playing with gale, that might nullify them abit. Another 1-0 win perhaps.

2055: There's a man on the pitch at Goodison Park proposing to his girlfriend. I have to say his intended doesn't look entirely overjoyed with this one but I think he's sealed the deal - for now anyway. Nothing like the peer pressure of 30-odd thousand people to sway a dubious call
