Joins after City release him. 4 1/2 year deal so Moyes must rate him!

Are we ever going to see this guy?

I thought maybe one of the main pre-season games. Sadly not.

Yeah he played a few of the pre-season games. Scored against Morecambe.

He put in a couple of rather meaty challenges in his first few games, one of which (motherwell, possibly?) was a borderline red and I think Moyes stopped playing him just so he knows he can't throw himself into people like that.

Post  Tonteau on Mon 24 Feb 2014, 3:26 pm

Francisco Junior switched loan clubs last week and will remain with Norwegian champions Stomsgodset until 15 July. After finding game time hard to come by at Vitesse Arnhem, he now takes on a new challenge as Ronny Deila's side undergo pre-season.

Stromsgodset had two friendlies at the weekend - against Russian sides currently halfway through their own campaign.

Junior did not feature in the 3-0 defeat to CSKA Moscow but did play the full 90 minutes in a truly bizarre hammering at the hands of Lokomotiv Moscow. The Norwegians had tried to postpone the game in advance, but the Russians refused and ran out 15-0 victors.

With injuries adding to a shortage of players, the team coach and assistant manager both took to the field as well as Spanish locals who had been approached near the training camp. Former Tottenham striker Roman Pavluychenko grabbed a hat-trick before the referee opted to call time on the game after 83 minutes.

Stromsgodset have three more friendlies scheduled before the start of the campaign on 30 March.

Gone on loan to Port Vale. He's 23 now so it looks like we can file him under 'never made it'.

Edit: also had a trial at Celtic in December apparently. If he's not good enough for them, he's not good enough for us.

Re: 30: Francisco Santos Da Silva Junior - City's loss our gain

Post  Super on Fri 21 Aug 2015, 2:05 pm

Everton midfielder Francisco Junior has extended his loan spell with League One club Wigan until 16 January.

The 23-year-old has featured in every league game since joining from the Premier League side on a one-month loan, along with Jonjoe Kenny.

The Portugal Under-21 international started his career at Benfica before moving to the Toffees in 2012.

"Cisco has been a revelation since he's arrived," Latics manager Gary Caldwell told his club's website.

"When we found out there was a possibility of extending the loan, it was something I was very keen to get sorted."
