Not watched him much due to my self imposed exile but he is frustrating.

Now he has failed at -

Barcelona (Understandable)

Everton (x2)

Valencia

There has to come a point where we have to realise he isn't THAT good. I seem to think he has a serious fitness problem as well. His position isn't rocket science and he seems to like taking players on.

Maybe he will come back from Milan a better player but for the places Everton allegedly want to go, they can't afford to have players developing in the team (Hello to Ross Barkley).

We need performances week in/week out or they have to accept a bench role or leave.

Agreed, but I don't think Foo has been given as much of a chance as others of equal ability (i.e. Barkley). Perhaps that's a local boy v Johnny Foreigner thing.

he can be brilliant occasionally but only when we are breaking at speed, otherwise he prefers to run into blind alleys and then dive. Bloody Cheating Johnny Foreigner!!!!

He needs to give up the ciggies and bulk up. He'll never make it in the PL otherwise. Not a Koeman type of player it seems.

He made our goal on the weekend... he is the only good source of easy chances for Lukaku...

Lukaku has found it tough without his supply chain... and will continue to do so now as our other wingers are quite frankly... a bit shite !

Ditto. As most of our good goals seem to have come from breaking quickly he and to a lesser extent Lennon provided the wheels to do so.

Everton's Gerard Deulofeu Starts Bidding War After Being Told He Can Leave Merseyside

Out of favour Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu is the subject of interest for Ajax, AC Milan and Middlesbrough this transfer window as the Spanish midfielder was told he could leave Goodison Park this January window.

The 22-year-old fell out of favour with Everton manager Ronald Koeman after failing to make an impact so far this season. Although, the Spain U21 international is being closely monitored as Everton prepare for a bidding war.

As reported in the Mirror, Everton have opened up talks with Ajax about a deal for the 22-year-old after rejecting an AC Milan loan offer earlier this month. Middlesbrough are also expected to enter talks with Everton regarding Deulofeu's transfer.

he's saying that he needs game time, rather than they want to sell him, but maybe he's just breaking it to him gently that he's a diving numpty and he's not welcome here anymore?

Seriously though, I'd keep him. How many players do we have who can unlock a defence? Barks sometimes, and errr....that's it. All very well saying he isn't fit or consistent but if he only gets the occasional substitute appearance, how is he supposed to find his form or fitness?

I am informed that he apparently smokes like a chimney.... I would further guess that his fitness levels are regularly assessed and comparisons to others made..... the Club usually has enough knowledge to be able to determine what he can do and what can be expected of him if required.... I think the club armed with this knowledge have made a call...

Surely one could train hard and extra to get the fitness up? Sounds like if that's the case he's a lazy cunt (pardon my French).
