In fairness he has been almost ever present this year. He probably deserves a proper contract. A two year or year by year deal on a wage in keeping with the rest of the squad seems right to me.

We got a compromise.... on a sot of plea bargain..... and I got a slug of invoices paid early... so no caviar - but perhaps some Champagne - and although I love "Les haricots sur un crouton avec buerre" - I have today slummed on smoked Irish Salmon and potato cakes...

Does he want to play football and be appreciated at Everton or go somewhere else where he will get more money? If he chooses the latter then he's welcome to leave I think.
