Match Thread League 2014-15 season..

Post  Made 4 Gwladys on Tue 05 Aug 2014, 3:21 pm

Can we move to a new forum section if possible please Admins

Ok... here we go again as Super has pointed out in the predictors...

so the same as last season then ...

Same rules as before..

3pts for a win, 1 for draw & 0 for a loss
Poster keeps the thread honour until he (or she) loses a game
1 bonus point for the correct score prediction

Same rule of -5 points for match thread theft & a visit from legal counsel.

Winner is obviously on points and if needed Goal Difference, then Goals scored... if it's still a tie you get to sleep with Mrs4G & Hairy's prettiest goat, both dressed in Everton CWC retro blue lingerie

Competitive matches only ... Premier League, FA cup & League cup all count... friendlies for fun ....

BHE to start the first competitive thread as champion.. anyone else will be fined under match thread theft rule

Enjoy & COYB cheers  cheers

Rules, including agreed amendments during last season

1 ... In the event of thread theft the person who the thread was stolen from can re-take it without penalty in the next game only if he gets in fast enough, otherwise the thief may continue without further penalty. Whoever is first gets the honour out of the stolen from or the thief.

2... If the person who has the thread honour does not start the next thread before 48 hours of kick off, anyone may start the next thread without a theft penalty ... anyone starting the thread prior to 48 hours from kick off will be considered to be a thread thief & fined accordingly

3... basic schoolboy errors such as wrong Home/Away order in title will be punishable by a public burning outside Analfield or a fine of choice by our very fair justice system known as Lord UWIE

4... Snitch points will be awarded & deducted as deemed reasonable by the Uwist for ruthless supergrassing (or failing to grass for the reigning snitcher) and pointing out flagrant match thread misdemeanours

5... at any time during the competition season M4G may be awarded (by M4G and at M4G's sole discretion) 25 point for administering the competition. This rule is not negotiable & is not subject to normal Uwie judgements

I believe you grassed up Blueberto for having the home away order incorrectly posted & lord Uwie slapped a suspended 3 point fine on him... placing you in the snitch role... you have to keep your eyes open now or you risk being double grassed by someone for missing a snitch opportunity Very Happy

In a word Sef, no!

What my client was doing was referring to was a matter of public record. There was an event of circumstance that involved you ratting out BHE. As it was a successful snitch you were both rewarded with points and the job of comp snitcher. I cannot think of a shaper more eager eyed fellow - a paragon of excellence within the British security industry - as the ideal snitcher. I love the modesty that you pretend yuo really don't want the role but M4G and I both know deep down you are chuffed with the honour.

I think we are seeing the birth of a new breed of meta-snitching. For which, of course, a whole new meta-slew of meta-rules need to be meta-thrashed out.... drunken

My Lord Uwist61,I am not so fortunate to have Legal representation, unlike your client M4G, so , I have decided I will have to defend myself, if I may ?

Firstly the facts ?

I stand accused of ratting on another fellow board member ''Blueberto'' with reference to a comment/post I made (that Everton were playing away and not at home) as reported by Blueberto.
May I just say in my defence ? I was merely pointing out an observation to other members of the board, that an error had occurred with the information that Blueberto had written.

Also might I add in my defence, that I was judged unfairly by a wannabe Glory Hunter in M4G ''who I believe wants to take your job'' Very Happy (now that's snitching worth a few points) lol!
Now, as you are aware, my lord, the evidence is clear to see that M4G has labelled me a Snitcher, such confounded words can only be described as libellous, may I also point out that your wording of me ''secretly being chuffed ''being a Snitcher is nothing more than Deformation of Character.

Now I know Uwist61, your a man of great integrity & Character, so I know you will apologise and compensate me with a few more extra points.

How say you?

Good work Tonts... getting anything away to the shite is a result in my book...

Surprising no-one snitched on MindyerHo for the appalling breach of rule 3 and in fact a subsequent breach of rule 4 ... ie Krystalnacht as the heading

Bring on the Russkies cheers

Current snitcher Very Happy
I believe you grassed up Blueberto for having the home away order incorrectly posted & lord Uwie slapped a suspended 3 point fine on him... placing you in the snitch role... you have to keep your eyes open now or you risk being double grassed by someone for missing a snitch opportunity Very Happy

I love this comp cheers

Whose snitching now? MG4 study

Pollyanna, I find this comment by Uwie interesting - 'What my client was doing was referring to was a matter of public record'.

Surely your observation 'that Everton were playing away and not at home' was also 'a matter of public record'.

Just saying.
