Spurs 2 Everton 1 (Mirallas)

Post  Made 4 Gwladys on November 27th 2014, 20:40

So it's back to Sunday 4pm football and a trip darn sarf to Tottingham Hotspurs.

No Yoorope hangover on my watch as we stroll to a 0-1 win. Luka is still fuming at Hairy's comments on the board & is on a mission to prove his 28 Million tag is cheap.

Luka to take on the whole of the Spuds team single handedly & leave them on their arses while he plays keepie uppie on the goal-line waiting for Kone to arrive to nod the ball in off the post.

Kone for Engurland cheers

We're gonna win the fucking lot ...

Some Everton injury news from Roberto Martinez: "There are four players we have to asses for the weekend - Gareth Barry, Leighton Baines, Steven Naismith and Steven Pienaar. "Darron Gibson and John Stones are progressing well but will need more time. "Aroune Kona is fit and ready to feature."

Spurs 1 1 Everton Match abandoned after 36 minutes.

Les Ferdinand scores after 6 seconds. Tony Hibbert equalizes for Everton. Too many pitch invasions and the game is postponed. Kone unused sub.

Have we anyone in defensive midfield bar Besic and Osman with Barkley in front of them? Would be worried that they run through us too easy. Besic is mobile but is he aggressive and disciplined enough to track runners? Hard to predict until we see the team selected. The only positive with injuries is we seem to get players back as soon as others get injured but with 3 games in 6 days, it will test our squad to its limits.

We have Gibbo and mysteriously he's not on the injury list on the OS... he wasn't for the Wolfsburg game either... where is he ??... has he been sold a glass paperweight for a Christmas pressie...

We have Besic.. I think he certainly is aggressive enough.. in fact I worry that he is too aggressive & leaves us with 10 men, which would be a disaster adding suspension to our ridiculous injury list of:

Stones, Pienaar, Naismith, Baines, Oviedo, McCarthy, Alcaraz & Barry... and Gibson gone missing..

On the plus side.... Arouna Kone is fit !!!!! ... cheers

TEAM NEWS

Tottenham could be without Younes Kaboul, Emmanuel Adebayor, Etienne Capoue, Nacer Chadli, Andros Townsend and Danny Rose through injury.

Kyle Naughton is suspended following his red card against Stoke, while Kyle Walker is not yet fit to return.

Everton will assess midfielder James McCarthy's hamstring injury, while Steven Naismith, Steven Pienaar, Gareth Barry and Leighton Baines could return.

John Stones, Darron Gibson and Bryan Oviedo are definitely out with injury.

Looks like we'll both be playing our reserve teams.

On paper, that looks a cracking team. Cant believe Barry is back so soon. Would imagine Lukaku and Eto'o will drift between the left side and centre forward with runs of Barkley and Mirallas causing headaches for the Spurs defense as well. Big game for Besic.

COYBS cheers

Looking at the Spurs team, not sure i would any of them ahead of their Blues equivalent at the moment. Eriksen maybe but he can drift in and out of games.
