McGeady takes a shot from the edge of the box, not the best of shot, BUT I liked what he did. Have to attack the goal and take a pop at times.

HT, 1-1. Barcodes the better team. Attacking with so much more pace and intent.

Different players, same old shite. We'll lose this for sure. Whatever else we do, while Barry and Distin are still in the team, we'll lose.

Marginally. We're still slow slow slow. And terrible in defence. They're likely to murder us in the second half.

Post  Hinchcliffe Corner on Sun 28 Dec 2014, 5:09 pm

We look much more likely to score than in recent games but we're still passing back to the keeper from attacking situations too much.

I think we might score again, but will just as likely lose 3-2!

It's such a massive difference between how they attack and we attack. Sooo much more pace in their game. Towards the end of the half we had the chance to counter attack, Eto'o runs hard with the ball, passes to a midfielder and some 15 seconds later Robles has the ball at his feet. Why????

Baines is playing almost as a central or attacking midfielder. Not sure if that works or not but at least he is willing to run around a bit.

Interesting that all 4 top teams drew today. Arsenal thus gaining on them with their win today.

I agree we are very frustrating in the way our play just fizzles out time after time. We need to just go for it more.
