Adam has scored for Stoke, 2-1 against Southampton. Saints more or less eliminated from CL footie next year?

This is good this. 1-0 against a team that is relegation-fodder and reduced to ten men before half time. Sure, we've only got one goal and something shit could happen as nearly just did, but that would only put a slight dampener on things because we're killing the possession stats.

Ings with a legit chance there from the a cross as he had found some space between Jags and Stones.

I don't even know the score mate, but I am keeping a very close eye on the possession stats. We are winning it.

I forgot to mention we're at home too. Home... to ten man relegation fodder.

Barkley takes a shot, Lukaku not very happy with him since he was hoping to get the ball.

Full time. 1-0.

I can't remember the last time we had scored 13 points from five league games and still felt quite so underwhelmed.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We beat Burnley at home! The push to get into the CL might be too late, but man, we will be challenging for the league title next season.

Burnley only played with 10 men the entire 2nd half, but they are a phenomenal side and we were equally phenomenally up for it. A magnificent effort against a very difficult side. Couldn't have asked for more from the players.

Kone was clearly MOTM, simply incredible. We need to put a very high price tag on him or Barca/Real Madrid will snatch him up.

Mmmmmmagnifique effort and performance! The possession stat was close to 2/3 I believe!

Trying to find out mate. The suspense is killing me. How did we do? I think we won it, but before I see the stats, I will not celebrate.

My thoughts exactly. I would LOL if it wasn't so tragic.

3 points move on.

Kone is shite. No 11 is on some kind of drugs. Lennon must be about 4' 10'' in height. He looks tinier each week.

Good news. It was 66/34 according to the BBC. We improved on our first half showing. Enjoy your beers.

Re: Everton v Burnley

Post  hairy cataract on Sun 19 Apr - 11:17

"If Romelu had been on the pitch, he would have taken it,"Ě said the boss. "Heís taken the last two and we donít want to change that. To be a successful taker of penalties, you carry on doing that.

"But then we have Leighton Baines who is a specialist and Gareth Barry who has an incredible record in the way that he takes penalties.

"And then we have people who can control the big moments like Ross Barkley. It depends how you feel at that moment. Sometimes you are feeling good and want to take it and I think Ross showed incredible responsibility in wanting to take it and Leighton was happy for him to do so."

It would be funny if it wasn't so fucking embarrassing. Ross showed "incredible responsibility"?

Baines is a "specialist"? - he's one of the best penalty takers in the PL, and has been for some time. Unless Baines has clearly said "boss, my arse has gone, I simply can't take another pen" then it simply shouldn't even be up for discussion. As for Luka, his pens were amongst the most unconvincing I've seen.

Fuck off Martinez. How can anyone support this chump any more? He's utterly fucking clueless. I don't give a shit who we replace him with, my fucking arse could do a better job, and talk less shite than he does.
