We should register Everton as a charitable trust. The other clubs down the bottom end should sue us for pretending to be a football club.

Fuck off Martinez you clown.

Great to see the celebrations though, the Sunderland fans crashing the boards to get down to the players.

At least Roberto will have a good hard luck script to work off. First goal deflected, second goal deflected via a hand by player who should have had penalty given against him. Lets just ignore all the rest of the game.

All over. That was crap. As stated earlier, we could have played for 3 hours and still not scored. At least it felt that way.

Can't wait to hear the comments from Martinez and how fantastic and unfortunate we were.

We might have to wait 5 minutes for his comments as he's having a wank over the possession stats. Outstanding.

Can we just post 3 points to West Ham and Spurs and close up for the season.?

Summed up our season that game.

Some times i just wonder about Barkley.

Coleman and Stones were good as was McCarthy.

Our midfield at times is in need of a complete and utter shake up.

Pleased I was out :

Everton boss Roberto Martinez: "We knew it would be difficult but I thought we completely controlled the game.
"You have to score goals when you are so dominant. That gives you the game.
"Sunderland had great belief and were waiting for their opportunity. The first goal is an unfortunate deflection, the same with the other goal."

I mostly agree with your comment about the midfield. I think we need a more dominant, yet creative, force in the middle of the park. Someone who could complement Barkley who is hopefully the future of that midfield. Macca does well, but is generally a defensive midfielder, which we do need, but with Barry also being defensive, it means that the creativity has to come from Barkley or the wingers. We lack the take the game by the scruff of the neck midfielder.

So, Barkley and Macca are starters, get someone in for Barry, preferably someone who is much more creative. That will create more chances up front and take some of the pressure off Barkley. Lennon moved in towards the middle today, especially in the second half, but didn't get that much done in the end. He works hard, but we all expect that to be the case.

It'll be an interesting off-season.

Barkley says he is a No 10. He doesnt play or look like it. We need someone a bit more adaptive than Barry. I'd keep Barry as he is a decent back up to have.

We really are

LW - McCarthy - Barkley - CM - RW

With No 11 going.

On the bench we have

Osman (keep)
Barry (keep)
Besic (Keep)

Pienaar (let go)
McGeady (see to Celtic for GBP1m)
Lennon (back to Spurs)
Atsu (on loan to Portsmouth next year)

Juanjaz from Man Utd will join us for a season but I'd have him as a Lennon replacement ie starts on bench and use as a impact Sub.
