Dave Thomas

Former England winger Dave Thomas has revealed that he is registered blind and has applied for a guide dog.

In a moving interview with the Daily Mail, the ex-Burnley, QPR and Everton man, now 65, tells how he has started a fundraising campaign for the Guide Dogs charity.

Thomas, who won eight caps for England, suffers from the hereditary condition glaucoma.

used to love seeing him run down the wing with his socks around his ankles and his worn down moldies skimming over the grass. Looks like he's got his guide dog now and its given him a new lease of life.

Watched a report on him last weekend, believe It was on Soccer-Saturday,he's partially blind but? deteriorating quickly.
Dave Thomas was very emotional and happy to have his Labrador guide dog.
