0-0 FT. That's two games against Man City, and we're undefeated. Do it again, and we're at Wembley. We can't have our backs to the wall like that again though and expect to get away with it.

Ridiculous that they didn't delay the KO.
We got there 15 minutes after KO and we took a cab for the final mile or so.
Not just the M62 but even the tram we took from OT, but it stopped at Piccadilly and went no further. Car on the track we were told.
Anyway, decent performance particularly in the first half. Keep our powder dry fof the second leg.
btw the new stand at Etihad is a engineering disgrace. The nastiest piece of construction I've seen. ..and then don't get me started on the safety aspects of how we were allowed out of the stand, at the end....I said don't get me started.

The new stand is pretty steep, but not dangerously so, methinks.
The quality of the build is appalling. I took some shots of the structure itself during the Rugby WC there. I wish I knew how to load them into this thread. What appears to be metal trellising around the roof joints looks like it was made for a different job. If a builder did this to my home, I wouldn't have paid him. There are no lifts or escalators as with our own Main Stand. The stairs are like a temporary steel meat locker, and if I was the producer of the next Saw movie, I'd find a way of incorporating it into the story. As for the safety aspect, the Everton section had just 2 stair exits. Ours was blocked immediately at the final whistle by the stewards, so the city fans could escape first, then one exit was opened then the other. Maybe 12 minutes of standing. Then the exits let out into a mezzanine level where the exit for everyone is a single 4' door. Maybe 15 minutes from standing up in the seat, to getting to the ground floor.
The transport problems were dreadful for both sets of fans. We were interviewed by the Each after the game. Seems like we were all complaining.
Good defense though with Jags back. Almost a Stoke ending. That was frightening. Ossie's volley would have been beautiful.

For all their money it looked cheap shyt built by Honest Kev and his mates. Mansour won't have to climb it, so he'll never know, but I wouldn't let the cowboys near the other end next year.
