I'm impressed that I managed to watch that second half. We have been so poor.

Time for Koeman to show what he's made of. Hopefully we're putting together a list of about ten new players, but in the meantime he needs to put together a line-up that can actually play for 90 minutes occasionally.

I think Martinez did more lasting damage than we thought. This is going to take time to fix. The squad isn't good enough and the mentality needs completely changing.

this ...

LB is obviously an issue, both from the defensive and the dead ball points of view. Oviedo ran his cock off but he was fucked when he was subbed; anyway, he's a wing-back. Interesting that their goal came from getting a big guy onto one of our FBs. Slackness by Jags, that.

More than anything I feel we need a central midfield general to dictate play. Playing Cleverly there is totally useless, especially since it seems like he gets the ball facing the wrong way 2 of out 3 times. And I don't think Barkley is the answer either.

the mis-match is exactly the point. Man to man? We've often conceded goals from mismatches like that. Mind you, how do you mark a big unit if he drifts out to the wing before making his run on the far post?
