It's quite a leap from "signed a 19 year old striker on loan" to "we're selling our best striker".

Think this lad has been brought in to be part of the under-23s squad.

Is this like the Eric Dier deal? Nurture him for Spurs.

Most likely, but wasn't Holgate brought in to initially be part of the under-23 squad and he has broken into the first team, so could be similar with this lad?

Plus would appear that Koeman isn't afraid to throw young lads into the first team (Davies, Holgate, Lookman), so if this lad performs well, might get to see him in the first team squad on a match day.

But this fella has come in on loan hasn't he? Like Dier. We signed Holgate on a permanent deal.

Just saying that if he performs well enough in the under-23s can't see why Koeman wouldn't be scared to have him on the bench for the first team.

Another example was DCL , now I know he was a permanent purchase, but bet he didn't think he would get a chance in the first team so quickly.
