Manchester United v Everton.

Post  sefton on Fri 15 Sep 2017, 11:22 am

Manchester United v Everton  (Old Trafford)
Sunday 17th September 2017  K/o 16.00pm

Live on Skysport's.

Its been billed as the return of two legends on opposite sides? Romelu Lukaku faces his old team mates from Everton for the first time since his 90 million transfer to United, while Wayne Rooney returns to Old Trafford were he had 13 year's of success.

Ronald Koeman Is under pressure to get results after 3 defeats on the trot ,unfortunately I doubt that Ronald Koeman knows his best team.

I'm gonna have a guess by picking the team to face United.

Pickford

Holdgate-Keane-Williams-Baines

Guye-Schniderlin

Davies-Sigurdsson-Rooney

             Ramirez

Subs
Steklenberg
Jags
DCL
Vlasic
Mirallas.

Going to stick my neck out go  0-1 The mighty blues. cheers

Re: Manchester United v Everton.

Post  The President on Fri 15 Sep 2017, 2:03 pm

Everton manager Ronald Koeman said he is "worried" about his team going into Sunday's Premier League fixture at Manchester United.

His concerns follow Thursday's 3-0 loss at Atalanta, their third successive defeat with eight goals conceded and none scored in three games.

"I will have a meeting with the players - the experienced ones must stand up," the Dutchman said.

"The defeat was a wake-up call. I saw the team with a lot of doubts."

I don't want to make it individual because it's a team performance, but we need to be more aggressive
He added: "I wasn't worried after Chelsea [2-0 defeat]. The reaction should have started in the second half against Tottenham [3-0 loss].

"But that and the first half against Atalanta is enough reason to be worried."

During Friday's news conference, Koeman was also asked whether expectations were too high after Everton spent more than £130m during this summer's transfer window.

"Maybe it's really easy to tell everybody that Everton will be fourth in the table and will fight for the Champions League because they have spent a lot of money," he added.

"But maybe the rest of the teams have spent even more money. And they didn't spend that money this summer because they already have the team they need.

"Our team is in transition. Everybody knows as young player and foreign player coming to the Premier League, they need time."

He added: "Everybody knows if you come to the league as a foreign player you need time. Big teams that get big signings, they get one year to adapt.

"We have other players with doubts. I don't want to make it individual because it's a team performance, but we need to be more aggressive."

The Toffees are 16th in the Premier League table with four points from four games.

A litany of excuses from Koeman. He's bought shite, the team is shite, he is shite.

7-0 to ManUre, hat trick for Lukaku, two each for Brian Kidd and Bobby Charlton.  Rooney sent off in the last minute for taking a shit on the centre spot.

edit:
Oh yes, I forgot: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Pogba's out, so I'm feeling better now.
Lukaku goals are nailed on, and a far post header from Fellaini.
Rooney will be red in the face at about the 35 minute mark.
I have a ticket for the game.
I know, I know........ Crying or Very sad

I've written off this game. I don't mind losing, as long as the players put in some effort and Koeman's tactics are better than the last few games.

The next run of games is more important:

Sunderland (H) EFL cup
Bournemouth (H)
Apollon (H)
Burnley (H)
Brighton (A)

After that it's Lyon and Arsenal which will be more of a challenge, but we should win all of those five games.

All Utd. There is so much room in the midfield it's like we are playing with 8 defenders and no midfielders.

There was a players' meeting at USM Finch Farm on Friday according to the commentators. Sounds like a clearing the air meeting.
